Gabrielle's Creative Background - Music, Animals,
Judged 42 Breeds of Dogs, Mark Leishman, Suzanne Paul - and much more!
Gabrielle was born in Timaru, South Canterbury
and later lived in the Christchurch area into her twenties. From her primary
school days learning the cello, attending choir and orchestra, Gabrielle
advanced through Burnside High School as a keen composer of music, and
a talented creative writer. These talents lead her to graduate at 20 years
old with distinction from Canterbury Teachers College, majoring in Music.
Gabrielle recalls her joy, to this day, in discovering in her second year
of teaching that she had an upright piano in her school room!
Her talents by no means ended in leaving teaching
children, when she left to follow her heart in importing, showing
and breeding Champion Record breaking Newfoundland dogs. Gabrielle
loved her rural life in Woodend, North Canterbury and extended her
abilities here in numerous ways by trialling her own herbal healing
methods, running and forming several Canine Show Dog Clubs plus finding
time to Committee on the local Judges and Stewards Associations. It
was after many years of sheer hard work, determination, study and
bloody mindedness that Gabrielle developed her intuitive gift for
treating animals with holistic methods and teaching the use of same
to hundreds of people for years to come.
Her move to Auckland at the end of the eighties, studying Classical
Homoeopathy, running workshops on her specialities with people and
animals, Gabrielle forged a niche for herself within several healing
disciplines; Herbs, Homoeopathy, and later through her natural gift
for making Flower Essences. Gabrielle launched her first range of
over 40 single flower essences in 1997, called Aquarian Love.
Entrepreneurial endeavours were second nature to her, from appearing
on TV with Mark Leishman, helping Suzanne Paul, attending to radio
interviews. Gabrielle freely shared her gifts of working alongside
the nature and animal kingdoms with her unique perspectives, including
animal communication.
Later work included the setting up in her local community of a four
week programme for raising self awareness for women, called 'The
Olive Grove', where Gabrielle cut her teeth on raw edge, "tell
it like it is" Dr Phil-style presenting, also with success.
From Gabrielle herself ...
I became interested in natural
remedies 30 years ago and began trialling them when living in North
Canterbury on my hobby farm. I became fascinated with good results,
went on to study Homoeopathy in Auckland and later set up my North Shore
Family Practice in the 90s.
My culmination of 18 years judging
pedigree dogs at the NZ Kennel Club, my dog breeding experience, plus
trialling natural remedies with my own animals brought me to study and
specialise in this field in 1993.
In 1997, I began manufacturing my own
range of Flower Essences after reading and hearing about their magic.
I loved the relaxed feeling I felt when I was making them. I always
felt peaceful and centred during the gathering and manufacturing processes
of the flowers. As a natural extension of this work, (or should I call
it play?) I put several 'Emotional Recovery' mixes together and trialled
them in my Practice with people and their pets and had great results.
As a Homoeopath, I saw people struggling
with everyday circumstances and realised that women, men, people just
needed a SIMPLE, easy to use product at home, or to carry with them
for those unexpected moments in life. So I set to work on it and here
it is!
I made several "tweaks" to
the base formula of GEM over some years, adding extra Flower Essences,
to finally bring about the birth of GEM - for you. The GEMPet
range for Animal Friends was released in 2007.
Simplicity is so lacking in today's
busy-ness, let GEM help clarify yours.
I'd love to hear back from you via
email, how you find GEM works in your daily life and whether you would
recommend it to your girlfriends, mother, workmates, men or other people
in your busy lives....
